Cake Batter "Fudge"

I am in love with the cake batter and cookie dough dessert trend going on! Who didn't love licking the spoon as a child and wishing those salmonella poisoned eggs weren't in the batter?! When I saw this recipe for 5 minute, 4-ingredient cake batter fudge, I knew I had to try it.

This recipe is so simple and you probably already have the ingredients in your pantry! Which, of course, means you need to make this, like, right now.

Start off with one cup of boxed cake mix. The original recipe called for yellow cake with added sprinkles but I decided to skip that step and use Funfetti cake mix. I've also heard that chocolate cake and other variations are just as amazing. Red Velvet cake batter fudge anyone??

Stir one cup of powdered sugar in with your cake mix.

Next, add in half a stick of butter and 1/4 cup of milk but don't stir. Stick it all in the microwave for two minutes.

As soon as it comes out of the microwave, stir it all up. At this point you have amazingly yummy  warm cake batter. Feel free to stop here and eat this up while you prep another batch for the actual fudge :)

Spread into a small greased dish (size of dish depending on how thick you want it) and refrigerate for one hour.

You now have the quickest easiest cake batter flavored fudge you will ever have the pleasure of making.

Cake Batter "Fudge" (adapted from Girl Meets Life

1 cup Funfetti boxed cake mix
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/4 cup milk

Mix together the dry ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Add butter and milk but do not stir. Microwave for two minutes. Immediately stir until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Spread into greased dish and refrigerate for one hour before cutting into bite size pieces and serving.

And, of course, nothing is complete without a glass of TruMoo chocolate milk :)) I freaking love this stuff!
